Fees:
-
Each family will be expected to pay an activity/supplies fee per semester. This fee will be used to provide all art supplies, science experiment supplies, and classroom manipulatives and games/puzzles etc. This fee is due by the first meeting date of the semester and should be paid via paypal. (1-2 children = $40. 3-4 children = $60. 5-6 children = $70)
-
Each family will be expected to participate in 1 co-op fundraiser per semester. This fundraiser will be for the sole purpose of making a love offering/donation to the church for use of the facility and classroom for the semester. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the building/church on behalf of our group.
-
Field trip fees need to be paid to the co-op paypal account by the due dates listed on the calendar page of the website. ANY fee that you submit via Paypal - PLEASE select the option “pay to family or friends” instead of a goods or services fee, as Paypal will deduct a processing fee out of the total amount paid if not.
***ALL fees are considered non-refundable. Should you opt to forfeit your position within the co-op mid-semester, you also forfeit your supplies fee. Should you fail to attend a field trip once the ticket/cost is submitted, you will not be eligible for a refund, as you have likely been considered in the head count towards minimum participant numbers.
Meet The Coordinator

Hello! My name is Tracey Wade and I am the coordinator/founder of the co-op in our area called, Deeply Rooted. I am a wife to Bruce, step-mama to two beautiful girls, Layla (16) and Aubree (12), and mama to Jackson, my 4 year old son. I am a Christian, saved by grace. A country girl- in love with simple living, back roads, old barns, good music, coffee, books, and deep conversation. I am saddened by the state of our society and especially our education system. I worry about the exposure to radical ideologies and indoctrination that our children are facing and I despise the infiltration of immorality in our schools and classrooms. It is for these reasons, my husband and I have opted to home school our son and why I feel led to begin this community.

Prior to being a full time stay at home mama- I worked as a behavior coach for Special Services of Johnson County Schools in elementary classrooms across the county for six years. I was the lead pre-k teacher for La Petite Academy for two years, a substitute teacher for Indian Creek Schools in grades k-12 for three years, and a dance and gymnastics studio owner/director and primary instructor for 10 years. I currently volunteer as a Sunday school teacher for pre-school aged students at Fair Haven Church.

In addition to my extensive background with children of all ages, in a variety of classroom settings, I also home schooled my step daughter in grades 1 and 2. My experience with homeschooling our daughter was incredible!!! I not only gained the confidence I needed to know that I AM absolutely capable of educating my children but it also allowed me to see the incredible opportunity awaiting kids and families alike if they only choose to open the door!

Homeschooling is overwhelming, intimidating, and downright scary. Especially in the beginning. I promise you that it is manageable and even magical, once you jump in and just get started…and even more so with a network and community. I could not have done it without our co-op and I hope to find families that are seeking to create the same kind of community, with kiddos in the same age range, who can begin to build a foundational peer group for their school careers.

Thanks for checking out the info on my group page and about me. Keep reading. Let me know if you have questions or are interested in being a part of Deeply Rooted.
Sincerely ,
Tracey
Curriculum Information

We will be using The Good And The Beautiful for our curriculum. This is a thorough, all inclusive, literature rich, and Christian based curriculum that is extremely affordable. This curriculum will provide the lessons for our family learning subjects including science, history, and health as this company formats these subjects to be usable with a wide range of ages, offering supplemental resources for your older children. I personally will also be using The Good and the Beautiful curriculum for our core subjects of math and language arts and can mentor and encourage you and your family if you choose to also use TGATB for your core subjects as well.
Check it out! It’s a rather impressive curriculum. Especially if your overwhelmed at this point in your journey. Keep it simple! YOU CAN DO THIS!
